Building the Custom ICC Profile
To build a custom ICC profile:
1. Supply the table of measurement for the test pattern and the
scanned TIFF to the ICC profile builder software.
2. Build the profile.
Installing the Custom ICC Profile
To install a custom ICC profile:
1. Store the profile in the scanner-specific profile directory.
2. Ensure that the profile file name describes it in the language
desired by the user.
Embedding the Custom ICC Profile in scanned TIFFs
To embed a custom ICC profile in a scanned TIFF:
1. In the scanner GUI, navigate to [
Options: Preferences:
Color
] and select the new custom ICC profile in the pull-down
menu.
2. Except for the above profile selection, ensure that all other
scanner parameters are set precisely as they were in
“Scanning the Test Pattern(s)” on page 2-15.
NOTE: It is recommended that you create a scan ticket to
record these settings reliably for later use with this custom
profile.
3. Scan. The custom profile is embedded in the scanned
TIFF(s).
