GP 11 Paper Feed Section

Main Paper Tray

Paper feed mechanism

•

When the paper feed solenoid is energized, the drive from the main motor is transmitted to 
the paper feed roll through the paper feed clutch, turning the paper feed roll.

•

At the same time, the paper feed cam turns so as to raise the paper lifting plate. Then the top 
sheet of paper loaded in the tray is taken up and fed into the machine.

•

The actual length of paper is detected based on the period of time through which the paper 
feed switch remains actuated (or through which the paper moves past the switch) and the 
system speed. It is then determined whether or not the actual length matches the paper 
length specified on the controller
