6 Operation
Sending
Faxes sent over the telephone network are sent from the machine’s document feeder
or from memory.
Documents sent over the Internet are first stored in memory and sent at the time of
Internet connection.
Over the telephone network: all fax transmissions are in black and white.
Over the Internet: transmissions are either black and white documents (TIFF format)
or color documents (JPEG format).

Note:
If you do not position the original documents face down, the addressee
will receive a blank page.
¾ Place the original
documents in the document
feeder:
- face down,
- first page under the stack.
¾ Set the paper guide to the
document width.
¾ When the original
documents have been
scanned, remove them from
the document output tray.
