Notes and Specifications:
Transporting the LightStrike® Disinfection Pod: There are two wheels located at the
bottom of the Pod so that when it is closed the Pod can be wheeled much like a hand
truck for relocation and deployment throughout the facility.
1. Stand in front of the unit making sure the wheels are facing you.
2. Place both hands on each side of the frame corner posts nearest you at chest
high level.
3. Pull the top of the unit toward you keeping your elbows locked close to your sides.
4. Balance the load and then walk forward keeping your elbows rigid to your sides for
stability
(Fig: 5-A)
.
NOTE:
Please use caution when relocating the pod and always maintain both hands on
the pod for balancing the load and control while in motion. If you feel the task of
relocating the pod is too difficult get a second person to help.

Cleaning and Maintaining the Pod:
The Frame:

If bleach or ammonia is used we recommend a 5% solution. For the molded plastic components, use a
detergent and cloth to clean them.
The Envelope:
The interior material is a highly reflective pure aluminum bonded material so the “full spectrum”
UVC output of the LightStrike Robot can achieve maximum reflection within the Pod. Remove any dust and debris
with microfiber cloth. Rub soil marks with a mild soap and water detergent and a non abrasive cloth.
DO NOT
clean the internal material with any compounds containing ammonia, chlorine or other oxidizing or
abrasive agents or cloth.
The exterior envelope material can be cleaned with detergents on soiled areas. The envelope should be dry
before putting the unit away in storage.
Operating Safety:
- Never use the envelope if a tear has developed in the material. Repair small tears in the material with a
nylon coated tape.
- Never start a disinfection cycle without confirming and inspecting that both cargo door zippers are
secured and zipped in the close position.
- Never collapse the pod or attempt to relocate it before removing the Robot.
