Collapsing and Proper Storage:
NOTE: REMOVE ROBOT AND ANY ROBOT OR HOSPITAL EQUIPMENT BEFORE COLLAPSING POD.
1. Unlocking the frame; at each of the four corner posts, pull out the white circular ring pin of the locking slide
mechanism to release the frame and apply light pressure downward on the corner slide. You should feel
the frame slump inward slightly as the corners are released
(Fig: 4A)
.
2. Depress the corner truss press tabs you used to raise the pod, and lower to its lowest height.
3. Bend down and pull the white circular knob outward toward you while lifting up on the center push plate.
Repeat this step on the second truss assembly.
(Fig: 4B)
.
WARNING!
Attempting to close the frame without releasing both the 4 locking corner slides and releasing
the 2 lower truss assemblies at each end will cause frame damage if forced. If the frame does not easily
start to articulate into the closed position, STOP! Check each of the 4 corner release points and the two
lower truss to release them and then proceed in folding the frame closed. Misuse of the product resulting in
broken upper truss is not covered under warranty.
4. Secure the two storage straps on the left (Short Side of Envelope) pulling them
up and through the clips, folding the straps onto themselves to secure them in
place
(Fig: 4C)
.
5. On the right (Long Side Envelope) release the bottom Velcro loops and raise
them above the locking slider piece, wrapping them around each of the posts
(Fig: 4C)
.
6. Fold the frame in to the closed position, tuck the envelope within the frame and
secure with the black Velcro security belt.
(Fig: 4D)
.
7. Pull the storage cover over the frame
(Fig: 4E)
.
NOTE:
Orient the cover so that the slit at the bottom is aligned with the wheels.
