FAULT DESCRIPTIONS

     (1) IPM Device Fault (0x0001 Through 0x0020)

Both over current and over temperature condition can cause IPM device faults. The fault code for both
conditions is the same for each device, while there is a unique fault code for each device.

Possible causes for over current condition:

Short circuit in output AC line.

Low supply voltage to IPM control circuit.

Shorted isolation transformer.

Possible causes for over temperature condition:

External cooling fan inoperable.

Airflow on heatsink impeded due to accumulation of debris.

Operation above rated ambient temperature for an extended period of time.

Auxiliary contact block on contactor K1 inoperable. This is only possible if the fan does not operate
