3. Pivot the two OPC Guides up toward the front of the printer
until they are vertical. Then lift the cartridge straight up and
out of the printer (fig. 9.34).
4. Clean the OPC Belt and Cartridge.
Caution: When you clean the OPC belt, never use heavy
pressure or touch the belt surface.
Lightly dust the
surface with a clean, dry, lint-free cotton cloth.
a. Wipe dust and debris off the OPC belt and then off the
cartridge case using clean, dry, lint-free cotton cloths
(fig. 9.35).
b. Squeeze the wire cleaner tabs together and slide the
cleaner back and forth across the corona wire to clean it
(fig. 9.35).
