It is strongly recommended to disable the UART only, if it is foreseeable that
there will be no UART communication for several seconds. Use cases could
be during advertising phase to wait for connecting Bluetooth
®
LE devices or
when broadcasting data via Beacons.
Disabling the UART peripheral of the module results in a reduction of current
consumption of about 550µA.
Please note that the
pin has a second function. If the module is in
ACTION_SLEEP
mode, this pin wakes up the module by applying a low signal at
this for at least 5ms and releasing it to high. In this case, the module answers
with a

This indication is shown when the UART of the module is re-enabled (after performing a
