Changing the Application Tool
Clean the shank of the drill bit/core bit
1
before
inserting it into the tool holder and apply, e.g.,
Würth PTFE Teflon dry film lubricant.
Insert the drill/core bit with the flat side of the shank
facing the locking screw
2
.
Tighten the locking screw with the Allen key
13
pro-
vided.
Remove the Allen key.
The drill/core bit is removed in reverse order.
Note: Dry the drill/core bit and apply a light coat of
grease in order to avoid corrosion.
Water Connection
In order to minimise core bit wear, never work
without water. When working with the facade
drilling device, use the water receptacle or the
adapter hose, which are available as accessories.
Connect the hose coupling
8
of the water hose to the
water supply connection
9
.
Pressurise the water receptacle.
Open the water cock so that only a little water flows
out of the core bit.
Check if water comes out of the control opening
3
. If
so, do not continue to use the machine.
Caution: When operating the machine, water may
not enter into the motor or the electrical compo-
nents in any working position.
Even when the
PRCD residual current device actuates, the danger of
a dangerous electric shock is still given.
Instructions For Use
Work with uniform light feed pressure. When the
drill bit/core bit jams, switch off immediately. Do not
rotate the drill bit/core bit, but pull it out of the bore
in a straight manner. Carefully start drilling again.
When proceeding differently, the drill bit/core bit or
the workpiece can become damaged.
Note:
When the drilling progress decreases, the
core bit can be re-sharpened using a sharpening
stone (accessory).
Drilling with Drilling Jig (see Figure
)
The drilling jig, which is available as an accessory,
is essential as a drill starter for precision drillings
and avoids damage being caused to the material
surface. Mark the drilling location. Adjust the drill-
ing jig to the diameter of the core bit and fasten the
jig above the drilling location. Insert the switched off
machine with the core bit into the drilling jig. Hold
the machine straight while drilling.
Drilling with Facade Drilling Device
The façade drilling device, which is available as an
accessory, is essential for setting centred and angled
fastening points in facade plates.
Maintenance and Cleaning
❏
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the
mains plug.
❏
For safe and proper working, always keep the
machine and the ventilation slots clean.
❏
Clean and lubricate the tool holder regularly.
❏
Check the machine regular for tightness against
leaks. The machine may no longer be used when
water comes out of the control opening
3
behind
the water supply connection.
If the machine should happen to fail despite the care
taken in manufacture and testing, repair should be
carried out by an authorized customer service agent
for Würth power tools.
For all correspondence and spare parts orders,
always include the article number on the type plate
of the machine.
For the current spare parts list of this machine, log
into the Internet under “http://www.wuerth.com/
partsmanager” or ask for a copy at your nearest
Würth branch office.
