Steel cover assembly:
Then fix the wood guard with wood support-
ing frame with screws M6*16, gaskets Ø6 and
bolts M6.
Loosening the air bleeding screw
Before operating the log splitter, the bleed screw should be loosened by some rotations until
air can go in and out of the oil tank smoothly. Air flow through the bleed screw hole should
be detectable when the log splitter is used.
NOTE! If the bleed screw is not loosened the sealed air will stay in the hydraulic system and
compress after being decompressed. Continuous air compression and decompression will
blow out the seals of the hydraulic system and cause permanent damage to the log splitter.
Before moving the log splitter, make sure the bleed screw is tightened to avoid oil leaking.
OPERATION
Checking the log splitter prior to use
Prior to use check that the machine is in good working condition and undamaged. Check all
hydraulic hoses, fittings and connections and detect eventual oil leaks. Ensure that all covers
and safety devices are properly mounted. Should any unusual behaviour be detected while
the engine is started, stop the engine, detect the cause and repair it.
Plan your work site. Work safely and save effort by planning your work beforehand. Have
your logs positioned where they can be easily reached. Have a site located to stack the split
wood or load it onto a nearby truck or other carrier.
