Do not carry a plugged-in tool with a finger on the switch. Ensure switch is off when plugging
it in.
WHEN OPERATING THE APPLIANCE OUTDOORS, ONLY USE EXTENSION CABLES SUITABLE
FOR OUTDOOR USE. CHECK THE EXTENSION CABLE FOR NECESSARY MARKINGS FOR
OUTDOOR USE.
ALWAYS STAY ALERT AND WATCH WHAT YOU ARE DOING.
Use common sense when operating the appliance. Do not use the appliance while you are
tired, sick or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medication or other substances that
could affect your ability to react.
CHECK THE APPLIANCE FOR DAMAGES.
If you notice any damages in the appliance, in its guards or other parts, do not use it until it
has been repaired in an authorized service center. Check for alignment of moving parts, free
running of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting and any other conditions that may

an authorized service center unless otherwise indicated in this instruction manual. Have de-
fective switches replaced by an authorized service facility. Do not use the appliance if the
switch does not turn it on and off.

Safety instructions for band saw

Do not operate the machine until it is completely assembled and installed according to
instructions.

know how to stop it quickly in case of emergency.

Never switch on the machine before you have cleared the saw table of all objects (tools,
scrap pieces etc.).

Make sure

the voltage of the machine corresponds to the mains voltage.
•
to use an earthed power source (wall socket).
•
the cord and the plug are in perfect condition and not frayed or damaged in any way.
•
no saw teeth are missing and the blade is not cracked, distorted or otherwise dam-
aged. Replace damaged blade immediately.
•
the blade is properly tensioned and aligned.
