The clamp extension stored at the end of the clamp tube can be used for clamping small
cants or logs. The clamp extension is used with the hydraulic clamp in its down position.
See Figure 4-4.
Remove the retaining pin and clamp extension from its storage position
at the end of the clamp assembly. Replace the pin in the storage hole.
Slide the extension over the lip of the clamp. The extension lets you clamp small logs that
cannot be held with the hydraulic clamp in its up or down positions.
The clamp should be removed from the clamp and returned to its storage position before
towing the mill.
