2.3 Introduction
This operating manual should be used to get the most
benefi t from your FRÄSMASTER. Following these instruc-
tions will both extend the life of your machine and reduce
repair costs. Please ensure any user of the machine is
fully familiar with the instructions for use before allowing
work to start.
2.4 Danger while working with the machine
The FRÄSMASTER is designed to the highest technical
standards. Incorrect use can be dangerous! Disturbances
that could impair safety, have to be eliminated at once.
Use this machine only
► as instructed in this operating manual
► with the machine in perfect working order.
2.5 Restriction of use
The FRÄSMASTER is exclusively for grooving resilient
fl oor coverings in dry environments. It should not be used
for any other purpose.
For grooving safety fl oors, WOLFF recommends to use the
diamond blades, item no.013460/013462 which provide
greater durability.
2.6 Genuine spare parts
Spare parts and accessories are manufactured uniquely
for the FRÄSMASTER. It must be emphasized that parts
obtained from unauthorized sources must not be used.
WOLFF cannot be held responsible for the performance of
or any damage arising from the use of machines in which
genuine spare parts have not been used. This is particularly
important with replacement blades.

sible for any damage or loss caused by incorrect use

3.0 Maintenance
The grooving machine is virtually maintenance-free.
The roller bearings and gear box need not to be lubricated.
The air inlet and outlet should be blown out from time to
time to avoid clogging. Failure to do so may result in stress
being put on the machine by overheating.
After approx. 300 hours in order, the machine has to be
controlled by qualifi ed service-personnel If the carbon
brushes have a length less than 5 mm, they have to be
replaced by genuine new ones.
Let the machine run at no load for 20 min. after replace-
ment of carbon brushes.
4.0 Use
To create a groove of certain depth, which later will ensure
a perfect thermal welding of the fl oor coverings, the depth
adjustment of the Fräsmaster must be done as following.
4.1 Adjusting the grooving depth (picture B)

Turn the thumb screw (A) until the indicator (B) at the
scale (C) shows the required value.

Take care to do a test prior to starting your groove
thereby guaranteeing that the machine is at the correct
depth.
If the brushes are to be replaced,
the motor housing may be opened only by qualifi ed
service-personnel. Subsequent mounting of the new
brushes requires specialist knowledge.
4.2 Use (picture C)

Position the machine with roller (D) in the joint.
►
Locate guide roller (E) in the joint also.
►
The speed of the grooving blade can be varied with
wheel (G)
►
Start motor by fl ipping switch (F).
►
Push down slowly to the required grooving depth.
►
Push the machine forward slowly.
►
The speed at which the groove can be done will vary
according to the material being cut as well as the
depth.
