Maintenance
Jacking up the Trac
When jacking up the Trac, use a car jack to lift onto the supports. Jack up the Trac as follows:
1. Set the car jack under the rear axle ratio and raise the rear part of the Trac.
2.
Put two supports under the rear axle, one each inside and near the two rear wheels.
3.
Lift the front part and put two supports under the front axle support, one each inside and near the two front wheel axle ends.
Caution
Under no circumstances is it possible during maintenance or adjustment work to lift the Trac more than 500 mm on one side without
taking the following precautionary measures:
1.
Empty the fuel out of the tank and let the engine run until the carburettor is dry.
2.
Remove the battery (see Removing the Battery under Maintenance).
3.
Empty the oil out of the crankcase.
Lubrication
The frequency of lubrication can be found in the Lubrication Chart. It also gives the lubrication points and types of oil. The gearing
mechanism has been lubricated for life.
