General safety instructions for electric
tools
1
WARNING! Read all safety warnings
and instructions.
If the safety instructions are not strictly ad-
hered to, there is a risk of serious injury,
electric shock or damage by fire.
z
Keep the safety instructions for future re-
ference.
z
The term "electric tool" used in the safety in-
structions refers to both mains-powered elec-
tric tools (with mains cable) and battery-
operated tools (without mains cable).
Workplace safety
z
Keep the working area tidy and ensure
that it is properly illuminated.
Working in
cluttered or poorly lit areas can lead to acci-
dents.
z
Do not use the electric tool in explosive
atmospheres containing flammable li-
quids, gases or dusts.
Electric tools might
generate sparks that can ignite dust or va-
pors.
z
Keep electric tools away from children
and do not operate them when other per-
sons are standing near you.
When distrac-
ted, you might lose control over the tool.
Electric safety
z
The power plug of the electric tool must fit
properly into the mains socket. Do not
modify the plug in any way. Do not use ad-
apters to connect earthed electrical tools.
Unmodified plugs and matching sockets re-
duce the risk of electric shock.
z
Avoid contact with earthed objects such
as pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigera-
tors.
When your body is in contact with an
earthed device, there is an increased risk of
electric shock.
z
Protect all electric tools against rain and
dampness.
There is an increased risk of
electric shock, if water enters the electric tool.
Caution! Before star-
ting working with the
tool, carefully read the
operating instructions!
Caution! Sharp cutting
blade - keep your
hands away from the
blade while the tool is
in operation.
Wear protective
gloves!
Protect against rain!
