5.8 Special features of the types meeting the requirements of the directive
2014/34/EU (ATEX)
The gear pump is designed to work within the temperature range
from -20 to +40 °C.
Install the gear pump apart from electrical production equipment.
(EN1127-1 sections.
5.3.5 … 5.3.9)
Connect the gear pump and all the metallically as well as
electrically insulated attached components to the existing
potential equalisation installation. Connect the pipes and
attached components to ground.
Make sure that parts made from synthetic material as well as
cables will not become charged.
If within the equipment a potential equalisation or a component
connected to the potential equalisation system is detached from
a metal part, for example, in case of repair, then install a
connecting line of appropriate cross-section for bridging that part,
when an electrically conducting line was interrupted.
While cleaning and installing, avoid any igniting sparks due to
friction and blows, in every case.
Replace corroded components.
Consider the operating manuals, in particular the ones of
electrical components, too.
As for drive assemblies, which do not comply with the operating
manual, the user has to carry out an ignition hazard assessment.
Electric motor-based drives with EC-type approval are the only
ones allowed to be used.
In case of failures and/or defects, the pump shall be exclusively
checked and repaired by trained staff or WOERNER themselves.
Dismount the pump and handle the single parts exclusively
outside of that area, which is subject to explosion hazard
.
5.9 Disclaimer
Should any damage be caused to persons, objects, the environment and/or property due to
the non-observance of this operation manual, no matter whether intentionally or
unintentionally, WOERNER shall be held harmless thereof. Besides, all warranty claims will
be rejected. The same also applies to any and all consequential damage.
