Application/Adjustment
Preparation:
1. Take the selected pad from the
packaging.
2. Pad type III (chairback pad) can be
thermoformed. Please note that the
maximum processing temperature is
120 °C. Do not heat, bend or deform
on or around sliding cut-outs (slots).
Installing the Pad:
1. Place the pad on the cable-pull-or-
thosis, with the sticker saying „top“
at the top.
2. Push the locks of the click fasteners
up to open the fasteners. (Fig. 1).
3. Insert the pegs on the pad into the
click fasteners, and close the locks.
To do so, turn the lateral part of the
orthosis in order to reach the locks
better. (Fig. 2).
4. Repeat on other side.
5. Attach the handle of the pulley cord as close
to the back of the orthosis as possible.
6. Extend the orthosis as much as pos-
sible by pulling it apart to its maxi-
mum length (image 3).
Applying the MLO Dynamic:
1. Place the orthosis around the patient‘s
waist, so the pad is positioned anatomi-
cally correct in the lumbar area.
• Pad type I = on the rhombus of michaelis
/ trigonum sacrale (lumbosacral region).
• Pad type II = bottom edge no lower
than the highest point of the buttocks.
