Series 5000 Hardware Guide

Monthly:

Wipe down Footblock on Head with a soft cloth and mild cleaner.  Remove and clean Blade Clamp and Blade Holder with 
Unseal.  Clean Black Rollers with Unseal.  Dust Plunge Tube with a stiff brush (dust can actually get into the Plunge Tube and 
cause undue wear and tear).  Open Head and make sure the black screws to the left of the opening are snug. Check Trolley Plate 

for movement and adjust wheels if necessary. Check Head Latch Screw for movement of the Head.  Run through the basic cuts 

(rectangle, ovals, V-Groove, reverse bevel, etc.) and check configurations.  Make sure that the L-brackets are still securely at

tached to both the Board and the wall. 

CAUTION: Always wear proper eye protection!

Offload the Air Regulator

Air Regulator can be strapped to left large wall bracket with cable ties provided in Tool Kit; hang Air Regulator w/glass bowl 
down (Fig A).  Air Regulator may collect water that is trapped within airline, which must be off-loaded to keep it fromentering 
and damaging Head.

There are two models of the Air Regulator (Fig B).  One is off-loaded by pressing in on the tip of the Air Regulator (located on 
bottom of glass bowl).  The other is off-loaded but twisting the small knob at the bottom to the left then back to the right. You 
will know that you've done it right if you hear/feel air escaping.  It is also important to drain your Air Compressor at least once 
a week for the same reason.  See your Air Compressor manual.
