To set the body safety props:
1.
Make sure that there is enough clearance above the body to raise it safely and that the truck is on
safe level ground.
2.
Start the truck.
3.
Turn the pump switch on.
4.
Raise the body until both safety props can be moved into position.

MPORTANT
:
Do not raise the body higher than what is required for the props.
5.
Release one of the safety props by pulling its latch towards you (see Figure 2-3), and position the
prop adequately (see Figure 2-2).
The safety prop must take place around the cylinder rod.

Release the other safety prop by pulling its latch towards you (see Figure 2-3), and position it
adequately (see Figure 2-2).
The safety prop must take place around the cylinder rod.
7.
Lower the body until both safety props rest on the cylinder casings.
8.
Lock out and tag out the vehicle (see
Locking Out and Tagging Out the Vehicle
on page 36).
You can now work safely underneath the body.
Putting the Body Safety Props Back in Place
To put the body safety props back in place:
1.
Make sure that there is enough clearance above the body to raise it safely and that the truck is on
safe level ground.
2.
Start the truck.
3.
Turn the pump switch on.
4.
Raise the body until both safety props can move freely.
5.
Put one of the safety props back in its home position. Use its latch to secure it (see Figure 2-3).
6.
Put the other safety prop back in its home position. Use its latch to secure it.
