SECTION 2
DRIVING YOUR MOTOR HOME
When purchasing a child restraint system:
1. Look for the label certifying that it meets all
applicable U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle
Safety Standards (FMVSS) or, in Canada,
requirements of the Children's Car Seats and
Harnesses Regulations (CCSHR).
2. Make sure that it will attach to your vehicle
and restrain your child securely and conve-
niently so that you are able to install it cor-
rectly each time it is used.
3. Be certain that it is appropriate for the child's
height, weight and development. The
instructions and/or the regulation label
attached to the restraint typically provides
this information.
4. Review the instructions for installation and
use of the restraint. Be sure that you under-
stand them fully and can install the restraint
properly and safely in your vehicle.
Child Safety Seat Latch Anchors
Model 22QD Companion Seats only
The companion seats are equipped with built-
in child seat latch anchors for the new design of
child safety seats with lower latches.
The following instructions are basic guide-
lines for installing this type of child-safety seat
(hereafter called ‘child seat’) in the Rialta com-
panion seats.
Because of the wide variety of child seat
designs, you must read and follow the instruc-
tions that came with the child seat to ensure prop-
er installaion.
•
The latch anchors are located in the crevice
between the seat back and cushion as shown.
The two upholstery buttons indicate posi-
tions of the anchors.
•
Install the child seat tether strap over the top
of the seat, between the seat back and head-
rest as shown. Snap the end into the floor
anchor behind the seat.
