MAINTENANCE
4.1
Cleaning
The DPS should be cleaned using a slightly damp cloth with a small quantity of standard
household cleaning agent or surgical spirit.
Strong chemicals or abrasive agents must not be used.
4.2
Storage
The DPS must be stored in a dry environment with relative humidity under 70%.

CHECK, WARRANTY AND TROUBLESHOOTING
5.1
Annual check and warranty
The DPS must always be repaired and maintained by qualified personnel.
The manufacturer Winncare Nordic recommends that the DPS MUST be checked by a qualified
technician at least once a year in accordance to Winncare Nordic’s service instructions. An
annual service check is also recommended according to the European Standard (EN/ISO 10535)
for patient lifters/hoists including ceiling hoist.
It is the legal owner’s duty to ensure that these service checks are carried out on the product.
The following items is to be inspected during the annual check:

Bolts
o
Check for loose bolts and nuts.
•
Actuator
o
Check for unusual sounds.
o
Check piston rod for lubrication. Apply new if dried out.
•
Strap attachment point
o
Check that the plastic cap with cable gland and cable are attached.
o
Check that the DPS can turn without turning the strap.
o
Check wire for cracks, etc.
•
Overall condition
o
Cracks, wear and tear, etc.
If it is necessary to replace any parts due to wear or damage, Winncare Nordic recommends for
safety reasons to use only original spare parts. Use of non-original spare parts will void the
warranty.
Warranty
There is a 2-year warranty on the product conditional on annual service and maintenance being
carried out, according to the above service guidelines. See further warranty conditions on
