•
A leaking suction line prevents the suction of the pumped medium by sucking in air.
•
Avoid sucking foreign particles (e.g., sand).
Commissioning
•
Set up the pump on a fixed, flat place, where the temperature does not exceed 40
℃
. The
pump has to be placed in a horizontal position, so that the bearings can function properly;
screw the pump tight to its bottom part.
•
Bring the suction line ready for operation. The suction hose should not be narrower than the
suction connection. If the suction lift exceeds 4 m, use a suction line with a larger diameter.
•
Plug the plug in an appropriate socket.
•
Fill up the pump with the diesel or heating oil at the pressure port.
•
During the suction process, the shut-off devices (pump nozzle and valve) in the pressure line
must be completely open, so that the air existing in the suction line can escape freely.
•
Depending on the suction lift and air volume in the suction line the first suction operation can
take approx. 0.5 min
–5 min. By longer suction times, the medium to be pumped should be re-
filled.
•
If the pump is removed after being used, it has to be newly refilled before it is connected and
operated again.
Ventilation of pump
The filler hole (part 1, see photograph below) of the diesel pump must be removed from the pump
housing. After that, by using a funnel, fill the medium to be pumped into this filler hole. Thus, the suc-
tion hose is fully filled. Filling the pump is completed when the pump body is fully filled as well. After
this, the filler hole has to be closed and the pump should now convey (pump) again.
