Electrical connection
•
The electrical connection takes place by means of a safety socket 230 V ~ 50 Hz. Fuse pro-
tection at least 10 A.
•
The pump is turned on and off by means of a built-in ON-/OFF switch. The indicator lamp in-
side the switch lights up if the engine is started.
•
The engine is protected against overloading or blocking by means of a built-in motor protec-
tion. In case of overheating the pump is turned off automatically due to the overheat protection
and after its cooling, the pump is automatically started.
Suction pipeline
•
Connect a suction hose (plastic hose minimum ¾″ with spiral reinforcement) directly or with a
threaded fitti
ng to the suction connection (intake connection) of the pump (1″ internal thread)
of the pump.
•
The suction hose that is used should have a suction valve. In case the suction valve cannot be
used, a check valve should be installed in the suction line.
•
Position the suction line on a rising gradient from the removal point towards the pump. Avoid
laying the suction line over the pump height, air bubbles in the suction line delay and prevent
the suction process.
•
Suction and pressure line must be placed in such a way so that they exert no mechanical
pressure on the pump.
•
The suction valve should lie deeply enough in the medium to be pumped. This way the drop in
the fluid level prevents the pump from dry running.
