Never operate the pump dry.
The system must be filled before starting the
pump.
• Remove the priming plug.
• Fill the pump and the suction pipe with water.
• Ensure that there is no air in the pump or in the
suction pipe: they must be filled such that all air
is expelled.
• Re-insert the priming plug.
8.2 Starting
ATTENTION! The pump must not operate at zero
flow (discharge valve closed).
• Switch on power to the pump so that it starts.
• Check that the fan is turning clockwise.
9. Maintenance and repair
All maintenance work must be carried out by
authorised and qualified personnel.
WARNING! Risk of electric shock!
Before any electrical work, the pump must be
de-energised (switched off) and protected
against unauthorised restarting.
• No special maintenance required during opera-
tion.
• Keep the pump clean.
• If the pump is not used for a long period or dur-
ing periods of freezing temperatures, it should be
drained to prevent any damage: empty the pump
completely, rinse with clean water and store in a
dry place.
