1. Safety instructions
For all work on the thermometer, please observe the national
safety and accident prevention regulations and the safety
instructions indicated in these operating instructions.
■
Using the instrument for purposes other than those described in the
following instructions is considered contrary to its designated use and
must therefore be avoided.
■
If faults cannot be eliminated, the device must be taken out of
operation and prevented from being accidentally put back into service.
■
Before installation, commissioning and operation the user must ensure
that the appropriate thermometer is selected, with regard to scale
range and performance and the appropriate wetted material (corrosion)
for the respective application's specific measuring conditions.
■
Serious injuries and/or damage can occur should the appropriate
regulations not be observed.
■
For hazardous pressure media such as oxygen, acetylene, flammable
or toxic gases or liquids, as well as air conditioning plant, compres-
sors, etc., in addition to all standard regulations, the appropriate
existing codes or regulations must also be followed.
■
Residual pressure medium in removed thermometers may be
hazardous or toxic. Appropriate safety measures must be taken.
■
Repairs may only be carried out by the manufacturer. The instrument
must not be interfered with or changed.
■
We reserve the right to make technical changes without notice.
Further important safety instructions can be found in the
individual sections of this manual.
Avoid putting mechanical stress on the electrical connections
and on the enclosures.
All connections must only be opened when the instrument is
depressurised and has cooled down.
