6.2.3 Measuring temperature with a thermocouple
6.2.4 Measuring resistance and temperature with a resistance thermometer
The model CEP3000 offers three possibilities for measuring the resistance (Ω) and the
temperature with a resistance thermometer: 2-, 3- and 4-wire measurement. The highest
accuracy is obtained with a 4-wire connection.
Figures 4 - 6 show the connection of the model CEP3000 for the three different
measurement types.
1. In order to select the
RTD
mode, press the
RTD
key. Then, select the desired
resist-
ance thermometer type
with the
RTD
key.
2. The model CEP3000 must be operating in the input mode.
In the upper left corner of the LCD display, 2W, 3W or 4W are
displayed.
Select the desired connection configuration (2-wire, 3-wire or 4-wire) by using the up
and down arrow key.
