6. Commissioning, operation
6.1 Key function
Input/Output
Switches between the measure and output mode.
TC
Switching between all available kinds of thermocouples and the
direct output of millivolt by pressing the
TC (thermocouple)
key.
RTD
Switching between all available kinds of resistance thermometers
and the direct output in ohms by pressing the
RTD
key.
°C/°F
Switching between °C and °F
Keys 0 - 9
Enter an output value with these keys. Example: For an output of
20 mV, select millivolt as output range, then press key 2 and key 0
as well as the
ENTER
key.
Arrow keys
↓ ↑
The up and down arrow key can be used for small modifications
of an initial value. Press the up or down arrow key for setting the
desired value.
CE
Reset the value by pressing the delete key
(CE)
, then press the
enter key.
Shift
Selection of the sub-functions (green lettering on the keys).
6.2 Wiring diagrams and instructions
6.2.1 Simulating resistances
1. Select the
RTD
mode.
2. Connect the device to be checked according the figure below.
3. Select the desired area with the
RTD
key.
4. In the simulation mode under load, the model CEP3000 provides a current of up to 3
mA. If this limit value is exceeded, a warning message is displayed.
