185MM CIRCULAR SAW ENG
f) Slowly push the saw forward using both hands. Apply downward pressure to keep the saw steady
and only enough forward pressure to keep the blade cutting (See Fig 7).
g) When making a cut always use steady, even pressure. Forcing the saw causes rough cuts and could
shorten the life of the saw or cause kickback. Allow the blade and the saw to do the work.
h) After completing your cut, release the switch and allow the blade to come to a complete stop. Do not
remove the saw from the workpiece while the blade is moving.
Note:
Since blade thickness varies, always make a trial cut in scrap material along the guideline to
determine how much, if any, the guideline must be offset to get an accurate cut.
2) Making a plunge cut
a) Adjust the depth of cut as required.
b) Adjust the bevel setting to 0°.
c) Raise the lower blade guard lever to expose the saw blade and firmly rest the front of the base flat
against the workpiece with the main handle raised so the blade does not touch the workpiece.
d) With the blade just clearing the workpiece, start the machine by push the lock-off button and press
the on/off switch.
e) Always let the blade reach full speed before you begin to cut into the workpiece.
f) Slowly lower the saw into the workpiece, using the front of the base resting on the workpiece as a
hinge point.
Note:
As soon as the blade starts cutting the material, release the lower blade guard lever.
g) After completing your cut, release the switch and allow the blade to come to a complete stop. Do not
remove the saw from the workpiece while the blade is moving.
h) If the corners of your pocket cut are not completely cut through, use a jigsaw to finish the corners.
Warning:
Always cut in a forward direction when making a pocket cut. Cutting in the reverse
direction could cause the saw to climb up on the workpiece and back toward you, possibly causing
serious injury.
Warning:
Never tie the lower blade guard in a raised position. Leaving the blade exposed could
lead to serious injury.
WORKING HINTS FOR YOUR POWER TOOL
1.Protect saw blades against impact and shock.
2.Guide the machine evenly and with light feed in the cutting direction. Excessive feed significantly
reduces the service life of the saw blade and can cause damage to the power tool.
3.Sawing performance and cutting quality depend essentially on the condition and the tooth form of the
saw blade. Therefore, use only sharp saw blades that are suited for the material to be worked.
MAINTENANCE
Warning: Remove the plug from the socket before carrying out any adjustment, servicing
or maintenance.
1. Keep the power tool ventilation slots clean and free from obstructions. If available, blow compressed
air into the vents to clear any internal dust (safety goggles must be worn when undertaking this
process).
2. Never use water or chemical cleaners to clean your power tool. Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
