185MM CIRCULAR SAW                                        ENG

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Note:

Before using the power tool, read the instruction manual carefully.

1. Intended use

The machine is intended for lengthways and crossways cutting of wood with straight cutting lines as
well as mitre cuts in wood.

2. Before using your power tool

1) Before using your saw, check for foreign objects in wood, such as nails, screws, etc. and remove
them as required
2) Before using your saw, the anti-rust oil on the saw blade must be removed, otherwise the wood will
become soiled.

3. Adjusting the cutting depth

1) Ensure that the saw is facing away from you.
2) Loosen the depth locking lever.
3) Hold the base plate flat against the edge of the workpiece and lift the body of the saw until the blade
is at the right depth (See Fig 1). Use the depth scale to determine the cutting depth.
4) Tighten the depth locking lever.

Note:

Always use the correct blade depth setting. The correct blade depth setting for all cuts should not

be  more  than  a  full  tooth  of  the  blade  teeth below  the  material  being  cut.  Allowing  more depth  will
increase the chance of kickback and result in a rough cut.

4. Adjusting the cutting angle

The saw can be adjusted to cut at any angle between 0° and 45°. When making 45° bevel cuts, there is
a blade guide notch in the saw base to help you line up the blade with the line of cut. Align your line of
cut with the inner blade guide notch on the base of the saw when making 45° bevel cuts.
1) Loosen the bevel locking knob located at the front of the base plate (See Fig 2).
2) Tilt the body of the saw until the required angle is reached using the bevel scale as a guide.
3) Tighten the bevel locking knob to secure the base plate.

Note:

Always make a trial cut in a scrap piece of material along a guideline to determine how much you

should offset the blade from the guideline to make an accurate cut.

For bevel cuts, the cutting depth is smaller than the setting indicated on the cutting-depth scale.

5. Switching On and Off

The machine is equipped with a lock-off button to avoid unintentional starting.
1) To start the machine, first push the lock-off button for the on/off switch and then press the on/off
switch and keep it pressed (See Fig 3)
2) To switch off the machine, release the on/off switch

Note:

For safety reasons, the on/off switch cannot be locked, it must remain pressed during the entire

operation.

6. Suing the parallel guide
