TECH TIPS
RAISING THE MAINTOP OFF THE COUNTER
1. Remove all elements and reflector bowls.
2. Place your hands under the left and right
rear element opening areas and lift the
maintop until the round ball tab seats in the
hinge cover hole. You will hear a “click”
when the ball is engaged. This will allow the
maintop to be free of the countertop for
cleaning or servicing.
3. Rotate the support rod against the front of
the burner box.
4. To lower the maintop:
a) Lift cooktop slightly to disengage sup-
port rod, then lower the front to
countertop level.
b) Reach into left and right rear element
opening areas and press the round ball
tab to disengage it in its hole. The back
of the maintop will lower itself back to
countertop level.
