Sources of Error
Incorrect measurements are displayed if, the battery is running low
or if the distance to the measuring object is out of range of the unit.
Furthermore, incorrect result will be displayed if close to the
measuring object other ultrasonic sources are located or if the
reflected ultrasonic source impulses are not strong enough. The
same applies if the measuring object is not a good ultrasonic
reflector.
Emissivity
More than 90% of all organic materials and coated or oxidized
surfaces have an emissivity of 0.95. This measurement unit is
permanently preset to this value.
Maintenance and Storing
Clean the unit with a smooth and dry linen cloth. If necessary,
please moisten it slightly.
Clean the lens of the infrared sensor only with a gentle air jet or,
if the unit is dirtier, use a slightly moistened cotton stick.
Do not use any solvents or aggressive chemicals for cleaning.
Remove batteries if the unit is not in use (> 1 week). Empty
batteries may discharge and damage the unit.
Protect the unit from dust and dirt.
