Working Principle
The standby killer helps to decrease the electric power
consumption that is wasted by an electronic device that is
permanently switched on in standby mode (e.g. TV).
The standby killer automatically disconnects the power supply of
the connected device if is idle in standby mode for 1 minute.
Use your existing infrared remote control to operate the standby
killer. This way you can switch on and off your electronic device
as usual and without limitations. Power consumption is in standby
mode is reduced to a minimum.
The standby killer even enables you to disconnect the power
supply and to switch on and off electronic devices by means of a
remote control that are not equipped with a power switch or that
do not feature a standby mode.
Before first Use
Unpack the standby killer and check it for any damage in transit.
Dispose of packaging materials or store them out of reach of
children. Plastic bags etc. may become a deadly toy for children!
Preparations and Programming the Remote Control
1. Plug the connector (6) of the standby killer into a grounded
contact socket that is earthed according to regulations. The
power indicator LED (2) flashes for approx. 30 seconds.
2. Plug the electronic device (e.g. TV) within these 30 seconds into
the controlled socket (1) of the standby killer. Make sure the
electronic device is set in standby mode. The standby killer is
calibrated.
