4. Press and hold the on/off/reset key (3) or (4) for approx. 4
seconds to program the remote control. The power indicator LED
(2) flashes. The standby killer is in “learning mode” now for 30
seconds.
5. Aim your remote control to the infrared signal receiver (5) and
press the on/off key on the remote control (or any other desired
key). The power indicator LED stops flashing and the standby
killer adopts the control code of the remote. Learning mode is
completed.
Now the standby killer can be controlled by the selected key of
your remote control. The standby killer is ready for use now.
Note: If you want to add
additional electronic devices
using a
multiple socket, and these devices should be switch on and off
together by using one remote control, or if you want to
program
another electronic device
, remove the standby killer from the
wall outlet and repeat steps 1 – 5. Do not overload the standby
killer. The sum of all connection loads must not exceed 2200 W.
Operation
Now the connected electronic device can be switched on and off
with the “programmed key” on the remote control, with the
on/off/reset key (3) and with the on/off/reset key (4).
When the electronic device has been switched off in standby
mode, the standby killer automatically disconnects its power
supply after one minute.
Please note: The max. possible operating range of the infrared
receiver depends on the remote control that you are using
accordingly.
