Wait

stop

You

 

will

 

hear

low

 

frequency

 

beeps,

 

indicating

 

you

 

are

 

in

 

low

 

battery

 

detection

 

mode.

 

2.

 

When

 

the

 

beeping

 

stops,

 

start

 

with

 

the

 

PIR

 

motion

 

sensors.

 

Once

 

the

 

PIR

 

is

 

located,

 

test

 

each

 

PIR

 

sensor

 

individually

 

(if

 

you

 

have

 

multiple)

 

by

 

waving

 

your

 

hands

 

in

 

front

 

of

 

that

 

sensor

 

only

 

from

 

approximately

 

5

 

feet

 

away.

 

Make

 

sure

 

you

 

activate

 

only

 

one

 

sensor

 

at

 

a

 

time.

  

When

 

you

 

trigger

 

a

 

PIR

 

with

 

a

 

low

 

battery

 

it

 

sends

 

the

 

signal

 

to

 

the

 

Alarm/

 

Siren

 

and

 

in

 

sequence

 

you

 

will

 

hear

 

a

 

melody

 

that

 

follows.

 

If

 

the

 

sensor

 

battery

 

is

 

good,

 

you

 

will

 

hear

 

a

 

single

 

beep.

 

If

 

the

 

sensor

 

battery

 

is

 

low,

 

you

 

will

 

hear

 

a

 

melody,

 

continue

 

to

 

the

 

next

 

sensor.

  

3.

 

Open

 

each

 

door

 

or

 

compartment

 

that

 

contains

 

a

 

movement

 

sensor.

  

You

 

will

 

hear

 

a

 

single

 

beep

 

from

 

the

 

Alarm/Siren

 

if

 

the

 

batteries

 

are

 

in

 

good

 

condition.

  

Once

 

you

 

locate

 

a

 

sensor

 

with

 

a

 

low

 

battery,

 

it

 

will

 

send

 

a

 

signal

 

and

 

you

 

will

 

hear

 

a

 

melody

 

playing

 

(there

 

is

 

no

 

visual

 

indicator

 

for

 

door

 

sensors).

  

Replace

 

batteries

 

in

 

that

 

sensor

 

and

 

continue

 

to

 

the

 

next

 

sensor

 

and

 

so

 

on.

   

4.

 

Once

 

you

 

have

 

tested

 

all

 

of

 

the

 

sensors,

 

either

 

reenter

 

your

 

PIN

 

number

 

then

 

press

 

#

 

to

 

exit

 

Low

 

Battery

 

Detection

 

Mode

 

or

 

press

 

the

 

Disarm

 

button

 

on

 

your

 

Key

 

Fob.

  

5.

 

A

 

melody

 

will

 

play

 

and

 

issue

 

one

 

beep

 

upon

 

exiting.

 

If

 

you

 

continue

 

to

 

hear

 

the

 

melody,

 

this

 

means

 

you

 

have

 

more

 

sensors

 

to

 

locate

 

so

 

continue

 

testing

 

as

 

above.

   

6.

 

Test

 

for

 

low

 

battery

 

again,

 

the

 

system

 

should

 

provide

 

2

 

beeps

 

for

 

arm

 

and

 

1

 

beep

 

for

 

disarm

 

and

 

no

 

longer

 

issue

 

a

 

low

 

battery

 

warning

 

melody.

 

 

Note:

  

It

 

is

 

good

 

practice

 

to

 

set

 

a

 

battery

 

replacement

 

schedule,

 

just

 

as

 

you

 

would

 

a

 

smoke

 

detector.

  

There

 

is

 

no

 

reprogramming

 

involved.

  

Just

 

remove

 

old

 

batteries

 

and

 

replace

 

with

 

new.

 

Battery

 

life

 

is

 

expected

 

to

 

be

 

up

 

to

 

2
