Preparing the Chicken
First remove the giblets and marinate the cleaned chicken for several
hours or even overnight (see included marinade recipes) or apply
seasoning with paprika, curry, or other home-made spices inside and
outside of the chicken.
Using
1. Pre-heat the oven to 220°C. Insert the seasoned
chicken in upright position on the cone of the chicken
roaster.
2. Fill the inner reservoir of the base pan with spices
and water, wine, beer, broth or other liquids of your
choice and water into the outer reservoir to prevent
spattering. Place the cone on the base pan.
3. Place the chicken into the middle oven rack support
and grill the chicken at 220°C. Depending on the size
of the chicken, roast time can vary from 60 up to 75
minutes. With the included thermometer you can
check the doneness.
Further applications
You can also use the chicken roaster to roast spare
ribs. Marinate the spare ribs for several hours with
your favourite marinade and wind the meat around the
cone. Secure the spare ribs with kitchen twine. Place
the chicken roaster in the oven to 220°C. Roast time
can vary from 1 – 1.5 hours, depending on the size of
the meat.
Use the chicken roaster for roasting leg of lamb.
Remove the bone from the leg and wind the meat
around the cone. Secure the meat with kitchen twine.
Fill in the inner reservoir liquid of your choice and
water in the outer reservoir. While cooking, baste the
lamb with garlic butter. Roast the leg of lamb at
220°C. Check with the thermometer for doneness.
