Assembly and Operation
2. It may be necessary to use a rubber hammer to press the end cap (21)
onto the bracket. The bracket is then inserted into the in the pivoting arm
and fixed in place with the set screw (18).
Using the Angle Grinder Support
Make sure the angle grinder is turned off before connecting it to the power
mains!
Use the correct cutting disc for the material you intend to cut. Before each use,
make sure all screws are tight and the angle grinder is firmly attached to the
pivoting arm.
Clamping the Work Piece
The fixed jaw can be moved back and forth and
tilted 50° to the right and 20° to the left after
loosening the attaching screws.
1. Position the jaw as desired and retighten the
screws.
2. Now place the work piece against the jaw.
The movable jaw automatically aligns with the
work piece. To fix the jaw in position, swing
the lever to the left. At the same time the jaw
is fixed in the slot on the base plate and the jaw is pushed against the
work piece by the cam. This way, the work piece is firmly clamped.
3. Do not try to clamp round work pieces with a diameter larger than the
height of the jaws; these cannot be held in the jaws firmly.
Cutting
Allow the angle grinder to reach operating speed before cutting!
Push the cutting disc through the work piece with an even motion with only
light pressure. Keep in mind that the cut area becomes very hot during cutting.
Do not touch the area immediately after cutting; allow it to cool down first.
