Assembly and Operation
Attaching the Adjusting Screws
There are three threaded holes in
the pivoting arm. Into two of these
the adjusting screws (7) are insert-
ed. They prevent the angle grinder
from tilting to the side.
In the front part are two holes.
Which holes to use depends on the
shape of the transmission of your
angle grinder. For flat transmission
heads it is advisable to use the
forward hole. For round transmis-
sion heads it is advisable to use the
rear hole.
Attaching the Angle Grinder
Angle grinders that fit on the support must have cutting discs with diameters
between 180 and 230 mm. Use only cutting discs which are suitable for the
material you intend to cut. The use of grinding discs is not possible.
1. The angle grinder is attached to the support by means of the threaded
holes in the transmission head, to which the front handle is normally at-
tached.
2. Place the angle grinder between the brackets of the pivoting arm as
shown and screw the threaded bars into the mounting holes in the trans-
mission head. Depending on the way in which you mount the bars (12/13),
you can use them for M14, M12, or M10 holes. Use the nuts (2) to brace
the angle grinder in between the brackets.
3. Next, the angle grinder must be aligned.
4. Start by aligning the cutting disc in a right angle. Fix the angle grinder in
place with the adjusting screws (7).
5. Make sure the cutting disc is above the slot in the base plate. If the posi-
tion must be corrected, loosen the screws (6) on the foot and move the
pivoting arm over the base plate until the cutting disc is exactly over the
slot. After that, retighten all screws.
6. After the angle grinder is aligned and fixed in place, the lever (8) is
attached to the forward threaded rod.
