Maintenance and Cleaning
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any
other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. To
ensure safety and reliability, all repairs should be performed by a
qualified service technician.
When the hedge trimmer is stopped for servicing, inspection or
storage, shut off the power source, disconnect the plug from the
power supply and make sure all moving parts have come to a stop.
Allow the hedge trimmer to cool before making any inspections,
adjustments, etc.
When transporting or storing the hedge trimmer, always fit the
blade bar protection (7).
Never use water for cleaning the trimmer. Avoid using solvents
when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to dam-
age from various types of commercial solvents. Use clean clothes
to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc. Remove dirt from the blade bar
with a scrubbing brush or a small brush. Clean the ventilation slots
with a soft brush.
Wear safety gloves when handling the blade bar to avoid risk of
injury! Oil the blade bar with machine oil after cleaning and before
using the hedge trimmer again.
Store the hedge trimmer in a dry, dust-free and frost-protected
place out of reach of children.
When the power cord is damaged, disconnect the plug from the
mains supply. Not use the hedge trimmer anymore. If the supply
cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
