Make sure the voltage corresponds to the type label on the unit.
Pay attention to the warning symbols. All those instructions are important
for safety reasons. Always observe these instructions as failure to do so
could result in serious injury!
Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed
to use the branch cutter, unless they are supervised and briefed for their
safety by a qualified person.
Only use the branch cutter as indicated in this manual for cutting wood or
objects made of wood.
The branch cutter must be used only by one person at a time. Make sure
bystanders do not stay in the branch cutter’s area of swing.
Make sure the branch cutter is not touching anything and moving free.
Firmly hold the branch cutter in both hands when working.
Cutting with the branch cutter when standing on a ladder or on any other
instable place is not allowed.
Use only original accessories and original replacement parts.
For using the branch cutter, we recommend the use of an RCD with a
residual current of < 30 mA. In Switzerland the utilisation of an RCD is
obligatory.
Never move the branch cutter by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord
cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord and make sure the
cord is always behind the machine.
Should the appliance become damaged, do not use it and have it repaired
by a professional or contact our customer support department. Do not
disassemble the appliance or try repairing it yourself.
Personal safety equipment must be worn at any time. When working with
the branch cutter wear a helmet, protective gloves and eye protection in
order to protect the eyes from falling shavings and oil splashes.
We also recommend wearing cut-proof and tight-fitting clothes and safety
boots.
Avoid using the branch cutter close to power lines. Keep a safety distance
of at least 15 m to over ground power lines.
