Using
Before first Use
Remove the scale of the packaging and dispose off packaging material.
Plastic bags etc. may become a deadly toy for small children.
Clean the weighing platform (1) of the digital scale with a lightly moistened
cloth and pull out the transport foil from the battery compartment (5).
Weighing
1. Turn around the scale and push out
the control unit from the housing as
far as it will go.
2. Slide the ON/OFF switch (6) at the
rear side of the scale to the position
ON. Place the scale on a solid, level
surface. For one second all symbols
appear on the display following by
HELO
and
0
oz resp.
0
g .
If you do not place an object on the weighing platform during
90 seconds, the scale will automatically switch off.
3. To turn on the scale again, press the ON/TARE button (3). You will
hear a short confirmation sound and the display shows
HELO
following
by
0
oz resp.
0
g . The scale is now ready for use.
4. Press the MODE button (4) to toggle the unit of weight between g
(Gramm) and oz (Ounce). The last entry will be saved.
5. Place the food you want to weight on the weighing platform. The
weight will be displayed. If you want to weight liquid food and you have
to use a suitable bowl. In order to subtract the weight of the bowl from
the weight of the food, use the Tare Function (see chapter Tare
Function).
