Safety Notes
After pulling the load do not allow the steel cable to hold the load taut over
extended periods of time. For securely holding the load for long time use
suitable belts, chains or wedges.
Do not use the winch to move loads which may roll away. If necessary; take
precautions to prevent the load from rolling.
Do not work with the winch in an area where an explosion hazard is present
on account of flammable liquids, gases or dusts. There is risk of explosion!
Keep the winch away from rain and moisture. Do not operate the winch in
wet or damp environment.
Stay alert during operation. Pay attention of what you are doing. Use
common sense. Do not use the winch if you are tired or under the influence
of drugs, alcohol or medicines.
Wear suitable clothes. Do not wear loose clothes or jewellery. Keep hair,
clothes and gloves away from moving parts.
Do not use the winch from a vehicle with a running engine.
Do not operate the winch in a vehicle when a battery charger is connected at
the same time.
Please note that operating the winch in vehicles with airbag system might
actuate the airbag. Before mounting the winch on the vehicle have the airbag
system checked if it is approved for operation with the winch.
When pulling heavy loads lay a heavy blanket or a jacket approx. 1 – 2 m
away from the steel cable hook. The cloth will act as a damper and helps to
minimize the risk of injuries in case of ripping.
Make sure all safety notes are clearly visible on the winch.
When pulling a boat on a trailer make sure the boat is pulled in a floating
method.
Make sure the steel cable is pulled at right angles
to the winch. Always avoid pulling the steel cable
diagonally (see drawing on the right).
Do not change the moving direction of the winch in
a rapid succession. This will lead to strong vibra-
tions, which can cause injuries and damages.
Do not press the buttons of the remote control
when the fuse has interrupted power supply. The
winch might accidentally start moving and cause
injuries or damages to the load and the winch.
