Mounting the Winch
If the winch is to be mounted on a vehicle, only a qualified workshop should
undertake mounting.
1. The winch is delivered with a standard
mounting plate (5). Mount the winch on
the mounting plate by using the in-
cluded mounting material (13).
2. Mount the winch that way, so the steel
cable with the hook runs from
BELOW
and not from above.
3. Mount the fairlead (4). Put the rope
thimble (2) through the fairlead.
4. Mount the tension plate (15), as shown
in the picture. Only in this way proper
function of the winch and the tension
plate is guarantied.
5. Fix the hook (6) into the rope thimble
(2) and secure the hook with the cotter
pin (14).
Mounting the winch on the chassis
Please note that the most chassis are not
intended to withstand tensile loading form a
winch. Please equip the chassis with
additional stiffening.
For the most vehicle types suitable
mounting plates for winches are available.
Tractive Force
The specified tractive force of 910 kg refers to a rolling vehicle on an even and
firm ground. The more turns of steel cable are on the winch drum, the lower the
tractive force will be. When pulling vehicles form an uneven ground like morass or
snow, the tractive force is considerably reduced.
