Safety Notes
Check these Points before each use
•
Inspect the unit visually before use.
•
Do not operate the scarifier if any part of the safety equipment (switch, safety
hood) is damaged or worn out. Do not remove or disable any safety
equipment.
•
If the blades, the power cable ort her parts of the unit have been damaged, do
not use the unit before it has been repaired properly.
•
Keep other persons (especially children), and animals out of the working area.
•
Regularly inspect the power cable for signs of damage or wear.
Application/Responsibility
•
You are responsible for safety in the working area.
•
Use the scarifier only according to this manual and in the applications
described in this manual.
•
For your own protection, always wear eye and ear protection.
•
Protect your legs and feet with long trousers and solid shoes.
•
Keep your feet and fingers away from the spinning knifes.
•
Always be sure to maintain a safe position during operation. Be careful when
operating the unit while moving backwards, danger of tripping!
•
Do not leave the scarifier in the workplace and plugged in. Soter it in a safe
place and disconnect it from the power mains!
•
Please observe local laws and regulations regarding noise emission.
•
Do not use the scarifier in rain or in moist or wet conditions.
•
Do not operate the scarifier in or close to ponds or swimming pools.
Electric Safety
•
Make sure the power mains voltage corresponds to the operating voltage
stated on the type label.
•
Use the scarifier only with an undamaged power cable which is in good
condition. If the power cable is damaged in any way, immediately pull the
power plug.
•
The plugs and couplers on the extension cord must be waterproof.
•
Use only extension cords which meet the standards requires for outdoor
applications. When in doubt, refer to your local electrician or to our customer
support department.
•
For mobile equipment which is used outdoors, we recommend the use of a
ground fault current interrupter with a trigger current of over 30 mA.
•
In Switzerland a ground fault current interrupter is required by law.
