Sharing and Modifying the Wi-Fi Connection
You can share the network connection with devices connected to the drive and modify
advanced settings.
1. Select a network from the Wi-Fi Networks list.
2. To share the contents of the
files
on your drive, click the Share content on this
network check box.
3. To view and modify advanced Wi-Fi settings, click the
Advanced Options
down
arrow:
MAC Address
Identifies
the unique
identifier
of the My Passport
Wireless Pro/My Passport Wireless SSD drive’s
interface.
Device Name
Identifies
the name of your My Passport Wireless
Pro/My Passport Wireless SSD device. This name
displays on the network as a storage device and as a
content source for DLNA players.
Network Mode
Select the
DHCP
or
Static
method of assigning the IP
address of the My Passport Wireless Pro/My Passport
Wireless SSD network.
