6.2 Height and thickness of the ice cubes
The height and thickness of the ice cubes produced depends on the
water level in the trough and on the ice thickness motor setting. The
water level is controlled electronically via the water level sensor.
The ice thickness motor checks the ice thickness once every minute.
Once the set ice thickness has been reached, the ice thickness motors
triggers the ice thickness limit switch, thus initiating the defrosting phase.
NOTE: The water level probe and the ice thickness limit switch were
adjusted by the factory in the way that even at different installation
locations an ideal ice cube form is produced.
CAUTION:
The size and dimension of the ice cubes can be adjusted by
changing the water level probe and the micro switch ice thickness (see
chapter 6.3 and 6.4),
however this should only be carried out by the
WESSAMAT- service or by authorised dealers, as for this purpose the machine has to be dismounted.
CAUTION:
When the device is pushed back in, the water drain tube
may become bent or kinked, thus preventing draining of the water.
Please keep an eye on the tube during re-assembly.
6.3 Setting the ice cube thickness
1. Switch off the machine (push production switch to the right) and pull
the power plug. Remove the casing cover on the upper side.
2. Release the left locking screw at the ice thickness limit switch.
3. Change the position of the ice thickness limit switch:
Move upwards
→
thicker cubes
Move downwards
→
thinner cubes
4. Tighten the screw, insert the power plug and switch on the machine
(push production switch to the left) and monitor a production cycle.
5. Once the required ice thickness is reached, switch off the machine
(push production switch to the right) and pull the power plug. Remount
the upper casing cover again. Re-start the machine.
CAUTION:
At the maximum setting, ensure that a minimum distance of
approx. 1.5 to 2 mm remains between the individual finished ice cubes (see Fig. 6.3). Otherwise there is a risk of
the machine producing an ice plate, which would lead to malfunction.
6.4 Setting of the ice cube height
1. Switch off the machine (push production switch to the right) and pull
the power plug. Remove the casing cover on the upper side.
2. Release the fixing screw of the water level sensor.
3. Change the position of the water level sensor
Move upwards
→
longer ice cubes
Move downwards
→
shorter ice cubes
4. Tighten the screw, insert the power plug and switch on the machine
(push production switch to the left) and monitor a production cycle.
5. Switch off the machine (push production switch to the right) and pull
the power plug once the required ice cube height is reached. Remount
the upper casing cover again. Re-start the machine.
