Instructions for using the door alarm
Dear customer, thank you for buying this product. Please, read carefully these instructions and follow them
to use it safely and in full satisfaction. Prevent improper use or damage. Avoid improper handling of the
device and always respect the principles of using electrical appliances. Keep these instructions in a safe place.
The product is designed for indoor use only. It should be operated only by adults. Do not expose it to
environments with high humidity (e.g., bathrooms), avoid contact with liquids. Avoid proximity or
contact with home appliances and computers.
Installing the batteries and the external power source
Open the cover and insert three fully charged AA batteries. Pay attention to the marked polarity. Use only
1.5V alkaline batteries. If you want to power the device with an external power source, plug the connector
to the socket on the back. Use a DC adapter with a 8-12V output voltage and 1000mA current. We
recommend the adapter with a DC 12V/1000mA output.
Control
Alarm:
Set the three position
switch on the left, “ALARM”. In case of detection, the device will sound an
alarm with a 85dB volume. The blue LED will start flashing. The sound alarm lasts approx. 20 seconds. After
this time, it switches off and will sound again if movement is detected.
OFF:
Set the three position switch in the middle, “OFF“. In this mode, the device is turned off.
Bell:
Set the three position switch on the right, “CHIME“. In this mode, the device works as a doorbell,
alerting you to the presence of a visitor.
Choosing a melody for the doorbell mode:
press the “SEL“ button. This can only be done if the three
position switch is on “CHIME”. There are 12 different melodies to choose from.
Distance detection:
set it with the rotating regulator on the back of the device. Use a small Phillips
screwdriver. Use only a screwdriver of the correct size to prevent damaging the plastic head of the
regulator. Turning the regulator to the left and right respectively reduces and increases the distance. The
device can detect movement at distances from 1m to 8m and in a 110º horizontal and 60º vertical angles.
CAUTION before placing the device:
This alarm
–
bell detects horizontal or vertical movements in front of the IR sensor, e.g. from left to right or
up and down; roughly parallel to the back of the unit. Movements perpendicular to the alarm, e.g. a person
approaching, are not 100% detected and the alarm/bell will not sound. Put the device in a place where
people will walk around it and not approach it.
