1. Montage of PrintJet
Input rail, output rail (with holes)
Clip the input and output rails onto the printer so that they are
firmly attached.
Printer cover
Open the printer cover and remove the tapes securing the print head
during transport.
USB/Parallel ports
A parallel printer cable is included with the printer. Use this to
connect the PrintJet to your computer,
or
use a USB cable.
By occuring problems by the data transfer between PC and PrintJet
could solve if necessary by using a special shielding printer cable.
Power cable
Connect the PrintJet to a suitable power socket.
On/off switch
Use only the on/off switch on the PrintJet. The Printerhead drives
not back in his park position and dry up.
Button 1: Power setting for fusing unit and temperature
This button allows you to adjust the power of the fusing unit for
various types of marker.
Red LED: temperature indication
Button 2: Replace ink cartridge
Manual control for replacing an ink cartridge

Button 3: Maintenance:
For manual cleaning of ink cartridges.
LED 1: Warning (red LED):
When this red LED is illuminated, there is a fault with the printer.
LED 2: Operation (green LED):
The PrintJet is ready for operation when the green LED remains on
constantly.
LED 3: Temperature
Shows an overheating from the system.
2. Installing the printer software
If you install the Weidmüller PrintJet for use with Windows
NT 4.0 or Windows 2000 by means of the Setup program, you
must possess administrator rights. If necessary, contact your
system administrator!
1. Place the driver CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive; a window
opens automatically.
If the window does not open automatically:
A. Click on
My Computer
on the Windows desktop.
B. A window similar to this one will appear:
C. Click on the CD-ROM drive with the designation
PrintJet
or
New
.
D. Open the CD-ROM by clicking with the right mouse button.
E. The CD-ROM contains the program
PrintJet.exe

this program with a double-click.
