6  Operating Instructions for the Slab stands

Load the Slab stands always starting from the middle and
distributing the load over the whole length.

Attention! Risk of tilting by irregular loading on the supporting
tubes!

Avoid loading the iron tubes only from one side! The bearing
edges of the slab have always to be vertical with respect to
the perforated rails!

While loading avoid collisions and blows on the tubes!
Release the slabs by means of a suitable lifting gear and
lean the slabs carefully against the iron tubes!

Attention! Avoid any crush or collision while loading
and discharging the slabs!
Danger of tilting and crushing!

Lean the slabs against the Iron tubes as steeply as possible and avoid overcharging the iron tubes. Pay attention to the
following drawing concerning the minimal front tilt angle according to the total slab thickness (Picture 6)!

Attention!

Risk of tilting and crushing by overloading the iron tube, caused by reduced

clearance angle or larger load!

Picture 5.2 serves to clarify the following tables and diagram as well as the utilized terminology and serves as an example!
