Fault
Possible cause
Remedy
Engine speed limited to
3000 U/Min [RPM] and
the water temperature
warning lamp lights up.
Engine
overheating.
DO NOT LET THE ENGINE RUN
LONGER THAN 30 SECONDS.
Check the coolant level. See Chapter
Coolant level check
.
Check the engine for signs of leaky
coolant circuit and, if necessary, have it
checked by a professional shop.
Engine speed limited to
4700 U/Min [RPM] and
the malfunction lamp
[MIL] lights up.
Increased
manifold
pressure.
Turn of engine, unplug lanyard, and plug
in again.
Check intake hose connections.
Check the oil level. See Chapter
Oil
level check
. Excessive motor oil must
be pumped out as quickly as possible.
Engine speed limited
to 4500 - 5500 U/Min
[RPM] with a cold
engine.
No malfunction.
The engine will achieve full power as
soon as it is warm.
