General References
• Bare body parts, around drilled holes for example, must be treated with an anti-corrosive coating.
• Secure hoses, cables and wiring harnesses with cable ties and fit protective hoses around them at chafing
points.
• Replace hose clamps as necessary. Hose clamps should be inspected before re-use. Look for damage to the
screw and to the band due to fatigue, corrosion, or improper installation.
• Fit edge protectors (grommet, split-loom, etc.) to sharp edges.
• The vehicle shown is an extended length example, other body lengths will be similar.
Vehicle Prep
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Discharge and evacuate the A/C system.
3. Remove the following components, refer to manufacturer’s instructions as needed:
• Driver’s and passenger’s side step-well trim panel
• Driver’s and passenger’s side A-pillar trim
• Driver’s and passenger’s side b-pillar trim panel
• Headliner
• Driver’s seat
• Unbolt driver’s seat base
